Mothers' Union
Not just for Mums!

The Mothers’ Union is a worldwide organisation, whose goal is to be specifically committed to strengthening and preserving family life by our Christian faith, through practical action. Image

We meet on the first Tuesday of the month in the Narthex (at the entrance to the Church) to listen to a speaker, or to take part in fun activities. We run a bring and buy stall at each meeting to help finance a holiday caravan for needy families, we assist toddler groups in the Church and we run a prayer chain for urgent prayer requests. Apart from diocesan projects, we also help to support  the many projects run by local workers, in the Third World, trained by the MU, who respond to the problems in their community holding back many families: such as illiteracy and lack of knowledge about health and hygiene.
