Revd Paul Hooper - Vicar
Paul was licensed as Vicar of St Marks in 1995 after 7 years as Chaplain to the Bishop of Ripon and 3 years as Curate of St Georges in Leeds. Born in Winchester, he worked as a Town Planner in Plymouth before he was ordained. With a vision that St Marks might be a means to introduce many to Christ, Paul is greatly supported by wife Judi and a family of 3 boys Jonny, Mark & Chris. Revd Jo Logan - Curate
Jo began her curacy at St Mark's in September 2005. In July 2006, she was ordained as a priest and married Arun - who is also a curate at St Mark's. Before ordination, Jo worked as an accountant, and as director of audit for an international children's charity. When living near a river, Jo enjoyed coxing in rowing competitions - a sport in which she could participate fully with no physical effort! Jo will be on maternity leave from early April 2008. email:

Revd John Duff - Minister in Secular Employment
John is a Minister in Secular Employment (MSE) which means he is ordained but has a full-time secular job (in his case as a Quality Manager for an electronics company). Married to Sue, with three grow-up children, he admits to being a closet "BarclayJamesHarvest" fan, an armchair F1 driver and a virtual author (given that he might one day publish a best-selling novel!) email:

Revd Arun Arora - NSM Curate
Arun was ordained in July 2007 as a Non-Stipendiary Minister (NSM) which means he has a full time job in addition to serving at St. Marks. He originally trained as a lawyer and practised as a solicitor in his home town of Birmingham before working as a media officer for the Bishop of Birmingham. Arun went to theological college in Durham where he met Jo – the other curate at St. Marks; they married in July 2006. When not at St. Marks or with Jo, Arun works as Director of Communications for the Archbishop of York and worries about the mid-table mediocrity of Aston Villa Football Club. email:

Ruth Cundy - Reader
Ruth is a Reader – which means that she is licensed by the Bishop to preach and lead services (rather than that she has mastered the alphabet!) and she also coordinates, and leads, some of the different music groups at church. Her most recent major work was the production of “Fools for Christ” – an evangelistic musical performed at St Marks. She is enthusiastic about making banners – you will often see examples at the front of church. Ruth is also a teacher and, with husband Tim, has two daughters and two grandsons. email:

Tim Cundy - Reader
Tim is also a Reader, and as well as leading worship services he is involved with the maintenance of the building. A very amateur cellist and trombone player, you will occasionally hear him contributing to the music groups at St Marks. A teacher at Ashville College where he is Director of Studies, he relaxes by walking up hills! email:
