Check out our page "Service Times" where you will find a description of each service of worship. There is a style of worship and a format of service that will match the way you want to meet with God.
If you come to a service and the style of worship doesn't fit you, then don't be discouraged. There will be another service that suits you more at a different time. Below is a summary of the different types of services to help you decide which is best for you. 8.00am Holy Communion ( or 11am Thursdays ) - this is a quiet service which follows the Book of Common Prayer. 9.30am 0r 5.00pm All age worship - this service is popular with young families as the first 15 minutes is usually aimed towards the children before they leave to join a group according to their age ( Climbers, Scrambles, Explorers, Pathfinders and CYFA for ages 3-18). There is also a creche available at this service. This service usually has more modern hymns. 10.00am United Service - On the second Sunday of each month this all age service replaces the 9.30 and 11am services. The Uniformed groups ( Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies, Guides, Cubs and Scouts) parade their flags at this service. There is usually a good mix of modern and traditional hymns. This service is popular with all generations! 11am Morning Worship - This service alternates between Holy Communion and Morning Prayer. Children are welcome although it is generally a more traditional service than the 9.30. 6.30 Evening Worship - This service is a rich variety of worship. On alternate Sundays this takes the form of Holy Communion. |
